Statement of Purpose

Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (The Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 Part 4), the registering body (Figges Marsh Surgery) is required to provide to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) a statement of purpose.

The NHS Constitution

The NHS Constitution establishes the principles and values of the NHS in England. It sets out rights to which patients, public and staff are entitled, and pledges which the NHS is committed to achieve, together with responsibilities, which the public, patients and staff owe to one another to ensure that the NHS operates fairly and effectively.

GP Average Earnings

From 1st April 2015, its is a contractual requirement for all GP practices to declare on their website the mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The mean earnings for GPs working at Figges Marsh Surgery in the last financial year ended 31st March 2015 was £66,899 before deduction of employee's superannuation contribution, tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs, 3 GP Salaried and 1 locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months during the financial year 2014/15.
