Home Visits

Only if you are too seriously ill to get to the surgery, terminally ill or are housebound, and need a home visit, please telephone 020 8640 4445. The doctor may telephone first to decide if a visit is necessary or if any other action(s) needs to be taken.

On a home visit, the doctor will have limited equipment available in comparison to seeing you at the surgery, so it may not be possible to perform a full assessment of your symptoms. It is therefore essential that if it is at all possible that you attend the surgery to see the doctor.

You can call to request a home visit during our opening hours although it is best to call as early in the day as possible; doing this when you are unwell will facilitate faster treatment and may prevent you being admitted to hospital. The GPs have access to a community prevention of admissions team for suitable patients.
